Words of wisdom.
CALLER: You've put my heart at ease by being everything you are, and I want to know what should we do between now and November to prepare to take back the House and Senate? And the other question real quick was how long do you think it will take the president to take credit for the cap if it works?
RUSH: Well, the second question, first, I'm not sure he wants the cap to work. They're already losing the leak as an issue. The news yesterday, we had a couple of stories on it, the State-Controlled Media very, very, very upset, environmentalists are very much alarmed that the oil spill has not translated into anger that can be used to inspire people to support an environmental wacko agenda. The economy is still number one on people's minds. The oil leak and the dead pelicans and the oil-laden animals are not convincing people to stop using oil. They're driving around more than -- it's not working. I don't think they want the leak stopped right now. As to what you can do for November, become the party of "know" as well as the party of "no." Become the party of k-n-o-w and the party of "no," n-o. Tell everybody you know what Obama has done to the country.
Tell everybody you know what the Democrats have done to the country since January of 2007. You tell everybody you know that the last budget deficit submitted by George W. Bush was $161 billion. You tell everybody you know that Obama's first budget deficit was $1.4 trillion. You tell everybody you know that David Axelrod says the other party is going to take us backwards. You tell everybody that's exactly right. We want to go back. We want to go back to when we had a president who loved and respected the country. We want to go back to a period of time when our homes were worth something and their value increased. We want to go back where a college education meant a decent job. We want to go back to where there was only 4.7% unemployment. We want to go back to where there was the best health care system in the world, accessible to one and all. We do want to go back to the days of American exceptionalism. We want to turn back the clock. A year and a half is all it will take. We do want to go back. So your job, become a person of "know" and a person of "no," a person of k-n-o-w and a person of n-o.
